Neighbors first.
This website is here to make life in Thousand Oaks a little easier: pay an assessment, find a document, reach the board, know what is coming up. Every website needs a page like this one, so here it is. Read it once, and if anything is unclear, ask a person through the contact page.
1. About this website
This website is published for Thousand Oaks Property Owners Association, Inc. (the “Association”) to share community information, governing documents and contact channels with owners, residents and the public. Using the site means you accept these terms.
2. Information is provided for convenience
Summaries, notices and answers on this site are provided in good faith for convenience. They are not legal advice. Where anything here differs from the Association’s recorded governing documents, board resolutions or applicable law, the recorded documents and the law control, not the website.
3. Governing documents
Copies of the articles of incorporation, bylaws, declarations, amendments, plats, guidelines and policies are posted for reference. The instruments recorded with Montgomery County are the authoritative versions. Before relying on a document for a purchase, sale or construction decision, confirm you have the current recorded version.
4. Architectural review
Information about the Architectural Control Committee is a guide, not an approval. No exterior project is approved until you receive written approval through the ACC process described in the ACC Residential Guidelines.
5. Amenities and lakes
Community amenities, including the pool, tennis court, lakes, ponds, parks, trails, playground and pavilion, are used at your own risk and subject to the Association’s rules, posted signage and the law. Lake use is governed by the Lake Rules and Boat Registration policy and the Supplemental Lake Rules; common areas by the Common Area Rules.
6. Payments, accounts and outside services
Assessment payments, account balances and online forms are handled by the Association’s management company, Tri-Star Community Management, LLC, through its own portal. That portal and any other outside service linked from this site carry their own terms and privacy policies, which govern your use of them. A link is provided for convenience and is not an endorsement.
7. Members-only area
Parts of this site are reserved for verified Thousand Oaks property owners. Access is personal: do not share your sign-in. The Association may verify ownership against county and management records and may suspend access that is misused.
8. Forms and messages
Messages sent through this site go to the board, marked with the board or committee you choose. Sending a message does not by itself satisfy a deadline, create an approval or serve as formal notice unless the governing documents say so. For formal notices, follow the procedures in the governing documents.
9. Text messages
If you check the optional text-message box on a form, you agree to receive text messages from the Association about your request and community business at the number you gave. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of anything. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See the Privacy Policy for how your number is handled.
10. Acceptable use
Please do not misuse this site: no attempts to gain unauthorized access, scrape owner information, send false or harassing messages, or interfere with how the site runs. The Association may restrict access for misuse.
11. Privacy
How information you send is used is explained in the Privacy Policy. The Association does not sell personal information.
12. Intellectual property
The Association’s name and the content of this site belong to the Association or its licensors. Please do not reuse site content without written consent.
13. No warranty; limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is.” The Association, its board, committees, manager and vendors do not warrant that every page is complete, current or error-free, and are not liable for decisions made in reliance on website content, to the fullest extent the law allows.
14. Changes
These terms may be updated as the community’s needs change. The date at the top shows the current version.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms go to the board through the contact page, or to the management office at Tri-Star Community Management, LLC, 525 Woodland Square Blvd., Suite 250, Conroe, TX 77384.
