A gated neighborhood with room to spread out

Thousand Oaks is a master-planned, gated residential community on FM 1488 in Montgomery County, minutes east of the town of Magnolia.

Land
700 acres
Growing since
1999
Typical lot
1 acre

The neighborhood has grown to about 400 homes across 700 acres since 1999. It is walkable, diverse and lively, with Magnolia ISD schools just outside the gate.

Many homes are custom built, most around 2,800 to 4,000 square feet, with some larger ones and a few with in-law suites. Several ponds dot the neighborhood and some homes sit right on the water. With lots of an acre or more there is room for a pool, an extra garage, an in-law suite, or all three. Or you can simply enjoy the trees and the wildlife.

Just about everything you need is within a 10-minute drive: H-E-B, Kroger, Home Depot, Target, restaurants and salons. The Woodlands, Lake Conroe and the rest of Houston are a short ride away, and the neighborhood still keeps its quiet setting.

Thousand Oaks is in the Magnolia Independent School District.
